Refund Policy

We want you to be happy with RecipeScan. Our refund policy goes beyond what EU law requires — because that's the right thing to do.

How It Works

RecipeScan uses a pay-as-you-go model. You buy scan credits in packs — there are no subscriptions, no recurring charges, and no expiry dates on credits you've purchased.

EU law permits us to waive refund rights for digital content once delivery has begun, with your prior consent. We go further than that.

7-Day Refund Window

Within 7 days of any purchase, you may request a refund:

  • No scans used: full refund, no questions asked.
  • Some scans used: pro-rata refund for the unused portion. For example, if you bought 15 scans for $5 and used 5, we'll refund $3.33.

After 7 Days

Refund requests after the 7-day window are considered on a case-by-case basis. If you experienced a technical issue that prevented you from using your credits, or were charged in error, contact us and we'll make it right.

How Refunds Are Processed

Payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days depending on your bank. We process refund requests within 3 business days of receiving them.

Chargebacks

Please contact us before raising a chargeback with your bank. Chargebacks raised without prior contact may result in account suspension. We always prefer to resolve issues directly and quickly.
